After completing their studies in Australia, international students can work and live there temporarily with the Graduate Skilled Visa (subclass 485). Depending on the qualifications studied, this visa may be granted for up to four years (five years for holders of Hong Kong passports*).
The Graduate Work Stream, Post Study Work Stream, Second Post Study Work Stream, and Covid-19 Replacement Stream are the four streams. Your eligibility is determined by the degree of education you have earned in Australia as well as the date of your initial application and approval for an Australian student visa.
